As the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada improves, the Fort Smith Paddling Club will once again be hosting the Slave River Paddlefest. We’re happy that with the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccines, we can welcome back paddlers from around Canada and even the world!
COVID-19 Protocols for Participants
The festival will comply with all necessary COVID-19 protocols as set out by local and territorial health authorities.
COVID-19 vaccinations and masking aren’t required to attend Paddlefest. Of course we recommend everyone get vaccinated to protect themselves and their communities.
We’re asking all participants to keep the following in mind during the festival:
- Everyone who can get vaccinated should get vaccinated.
- Please don’t attend Paddlefest if you are sick.
- Good hand washing or sanitizing is asked of everyone.
- We will have sanitation equipment on-hand.
For more information about COVID-19 in the NWT, check out the Government of the Northwest Territories’ Health and Social Services webpage.
We wish all paddlers a safe summer on the water.
