Updated June 1, 2019.
People wanting to take part in Slave River Paddlefest must register to participate in the activities. Registration is required for participants ages 13+ and optional for kids ages 12 and under. We offer discounted pricing for youth (ages 13-17).
We allow non-registered individuals to participate in certain activities during the Paddlefest weekend such as our dinners, beach party, etc. However, each of these events require a separate admission fee payable on site.
Registration isn’t necessary to spectate during the event, however we ask that everyone at festival sites follow our rules and be respectful of everyone who is there for Paddlefest.
There are three main levels of registration that give the registrant access to different parts of the event.
- Paddler Pass
Includes admission to the entire event, use of paddling gear, Paddlefest meals, and admission to Saturday Beach Party. Does not cover instructional clinics except for First-Time Introduction to Kayaking.
- Hang Out Pass
Includes admission to all Paddlefest off-the-water activities, Athlete Appreciation Meal, snacks on the rocks, Friday evening activity, and Saturday Beach Party. Does not include water activities or use of equipment.
- Flatwater Friday Only
Includes admission for Flatwater Friday events, including the family games, family canoe picnic, canoe races, and the Friday evening activity.
Registration Pricing and Fees
Prices are posted on our website and are automatically calculated during the registration process. Payment for registration must be made at the time of registration with a credit card. If you don’t have a credit card, please contact us.
All pricing and fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Your card will be charged in CAD.
There is an “on-site fee” for those who register in-person at the registration desk during check in (on August 2-3, 2019). The “on-site fee” is not imposed upon those who register online, even on the first or second day of the festival.
Early Bird Pricing
Before July 1, 2019 at 11:59 pm MT, registration pricing is discounted.
Families of 3-8 people with at least one youth paddler pass and a minimum of three paying participants can register together and receive a discount. The discount is automatically applied when families register in a single order.
If you have a discount or voucher code for Paddlefest registration, it must be entered into the online registration form to redeem. Some codes may expire or are single-use.
Registration will open a few months before Paddlefest begins and will be open until the morning of the second day of Paddlefest.
Terms and Conditions
Registration is non-transferable. The person whose name is on the registration is the person who can attend Paddlefest.
If you would like to cancel your registration, please contact us. Refunds will be issued according to our refund policy.
All participants are required to sign a waiver on-site before they can be checked in. If you don’t sign a waiver, you will not be permitted to take part in any water-based activities. Participants under the age of 18 will need to sign an Acknowledgment of Risk with their legal guardian.
Cancellations and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Generally, we will offer a refund if you cancel your registration before the event begins. A processing fee will be charged for refunds.
